• Franklin is pleased to announce a new after-school math enrichment, Math Olympiads. 
• Math Olympiads is a non-profit public foundation which provides children an opportunity to engage in creative problem-solving activities developing a child’s ability to reason, be logical and resourceful. 
• This organization has been around for 46 years and is both at the elementary and middle school levels. 
• Franklin Math Olympiads will meet weekly on Tuesdays after school from 3:00pm-4:00pm, beginning on Tuesday, 11/12.It is run by Mrs. Baykir, a 4th grade teacher. 
• This program will only be available to 4th and 5th graders. 
• Competitions will take place at Franklin one Tuesday per month between November and March (five in total). These are very low stress competitions where students do five problems on their own, and then these problem sets are submitted to the Math Olympiads organization. 
• On Tuesdays when there is no competition, we will be practicing problem solving and also having fun doing math!

• Parent information meeting will be at the Franklin cafeteria on Tuesday, November 12,⋅8:30 – 9:30am
• The enrichment will run from mid-December to February 22nd.
